We are installing a MiniSplit heat pump in our home office because we are in that room 90% of the day. and don’t see the need to heat/cool the whole house just to keep that room comfortable.
We’re thinking of Gree because we want to control it from Home Assistant.
Hi, my brother had a Gree heat pump that he had to replace after three years. I don’t recommend it. With this, you can control all brands of heat pumps. Compatible with Home Assistant.
I think different people see different prices. However, looking at it, it does not return state. It looks like it replicates an IR remote - and there are lots of cheaper devices that can do this (I have a few). The Faikout reads the state directly from the unit, so you can actually tell what the unit is doing at any given point.
With the Sensibo, if someone turned off the device with the remote, Home Assistant would be unaware. With the Faikin, when someone turns off one of our units with the remote, Home Assistant is aware of the change.
