Minimalist version of HA posible?

Hello,

I new to home assistant and want to test it out. As a long user of Domoticz 13 years+ I want to look what HA has to offer. I want to test it on a docker environment. I have already started it up a couple of times and the first thing I don't like is that it is finding al kinds of devices I don't want to be in there. So with a couple of searches and AI I have created a configuration file that disables that. So far so good. But what I also see is shopping lists and Google Voice integration and media. How can I disable that also in a configuration file?

What I actually want is a minimalist version of HA where I decide which devices I want to have in just like Domoticz.

You can remove this from the config file: Default Config - Home Assistant

You can just hit "Ignore" on the discovered device integrations.
They are still there but hidden and unconfigured untill you check "Show ignored integrations"

I don't mind seeing unwanted integrations but having a shopping list I don't want and can't delete in the main UI (To-do lists) annoys me all the time.

  • Can I disable that?
  • Why is that not deletable or at least able to be hidden?

It's also a regular pain not having search built into the docs.

The Base load of HA will not change nor will the install size or any of that.
(No real Minimalist version.)

Hi yes that is what I was searching also but couldn't find it.

Please clarify what you mean by "main UI"...

If you mean the sidebar, see Reorganizing Items in the Sidebar, which can be found in the docs by searching for "sidebar":

Thanks, but I'm talking about the Shopping List which appears in the "To-Do lists" tab of the main UI. Sorry that wasn't clear.

For that, just disable the entity from it's "More Info" settings.
