Hello, I've discussed the idéa to make Home Assistant more aware of what sensors and devices are critical and what is not to more easily let us know what needs our attention. Back then I asked for a way to mark certain sensors in some way and also a way to let home assistant know what is unusual and what is normal behaviour
We have so much data in home assistant so its easy to miss out on the really important things. I needed a simple way to get an overall state of my home
For now I use this card which is really the only card I really care about when I want a quick update on my home, it gets me the most critical parts of my home and shows it in a easy way to read with colors green, yellow and red, also state is coded differently and tap action changes depending on what happens. Each icon is listening to multiple sensors to show exactly correct state for my needs.
Sensor states:
-Door lock
-House total power draw from grid - yellow, red when above thersholds
-Kia Optima Charge state - color and state charged as kWh when charging
-Inverter operation mode / state
-Grid electricity cost - yellow, red when above thersholds
-Tomorrows calculated cost - shows up after 14.00 each day
-Total monthly bill so far - gets yellow and red depending on thesholds
-Temperature sensor that checks all my sensors and shows red when anyone is outside threshold together with its value
-Inverter batterybank SOC - Also gets red when battery deltas gets high, temps, state ond so on
-Batterybank power direction - changes color depending on theshold values
-Battery bank voltage - colorchange
-Air quality - colors on thesholds
-Inverter1 operation and state - icons, colors and values change depending on different things
-inverter2 - same as above
-inverter3 - same as above
-Bedroom radiator - color and state, tap action to click and control
-ventilation between 1st and 2nd floor to move heat from the fireplace in the winter
-pfsense state - color and value depending on multiple metrics such as wan packet loss, vpn state, disk and so on
-Overall network latency, also pinging critical switches, APs and so on to get the overall health
-Car heaters used in the winter
-Outside wind conditions
-Floor heater state in the bathroom
There are many sensors that can be disregarded, but these things make life easier to see viually this way imo
Also, I use the card in multiple places, different dashboards depending on device and so on, so I have asked for a feature request to make certain cards as "Master" so we can link and place shortcuts to them from other places. This way you only need to update the "Master" card to let it replicate on all your places
