Minis forum pc for voice

I’m looking for a new mini pc to run home assistant on and later add voice to it. on website it states that the N100 cpu can run it with a delay but want this to be as close to instant.

I was checking out the Minisforum UM760 slim but not sure if this will be overkill.

Do you mean you want it to act as some sort of server for local voice?

If so, no amount of cpu is going to work without a delay. For “instant” you need to exploit the GPU (and quite a lot of it at that).

Edit: You might be interested in this project:

It’s no longer active as the owner sadly died, but the GitHub page gives a lot of examples of the kind of hardware needed, with benchmarks for different machines. This is just to run the voice server - HA would normally have been on a different machine.

Thank you voor the info.

I meant home assistant voice controll with Whisper or Speech-to-Phrase and want to run home assistant on the mini pc with maybe proxmox.

Im going to check your link and do some more research.
