Missing input state of Shelly Wave 1PM

Model: QNSW-001P16
Manual: Wave 1PM (EU)

Using Z-Wave JS UI

I’m using the Wave 1PM to control the lights in my garage. I have a physical switch that in its on state should override any automations. To do this I want to read the input state on my Wave 1PM.

Their manual states input state is reported, but I cant find it:

At least I think thats what they mean in the manual. Could be that they mean relay state correctly changes in HA when using physical switch?

Currently my workaround is associating group two, which is input state, to an unused output on my Fibaro Smart Implant (garage opener). Then I read switch state from that. Its a clunky solution, but it works.

My question is basically where do you think the problem lies, is it a problem with Z-Wave JS, or a device issue?

Given that the state is available through associations, if there is a way to read it without involving another device that would be great information too.

Figured out a cleaner way to do it, so I dont really care about this issue anymore. But I’ll leave it in case it helps anyone.

By associating group two on the Wave 1PM to the zwave controller, it now shows up as a sensor called “Basic”, switch state off is reported as 0, on is reported as 255.
