Missing KNX Addresses After Import in Home Assistant

In Home Assistant, I imported KNX addresses from ETS using the KNX frontend version 2025.8.24.205840. In the KNX “Project” tab in Home Assistant, the imported addresses are also displayed.

However, when I try to create a new KNX entity — for example, for brightness from the KNX weather station — the addresses for temperature and brightness are missing, while others such as the KNX addresses for wind alarm and day/night switching are shown and selectable.

I noticed that the ones that are not selectable might be 2-byte KNX addresses. Do I need to add these manually in YAML to the configuration.yaml file? And if so, how do I do that?
Sorry for the questions — I’m an absolute beginner.

Hi !

Yes, you’ll need to configure Knx sensor entities via yaml. The UI doesn’t support those but only binary sensors - which need DPT 1 addresses - thus the selection is filtered for those.

Have a look at https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/knx/#sensor
