Mitsubishi MSZ-HR25VF Connector Mystery: Retrofitting a Wi-Fi Module

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the community and was hoping to tap into the collective expertise here. I’ve hit a bit of a roadblock with my AC units and can’t seem to find a solution on my own.

The Situation: I own two Mitsubishi MSZ-HR25VF units. One indoor unit came with a factory-installed Wi-Fi module for ME-Cloud, but the second one was “offline.” I purchased what I thought was an identical module, but during installation, I realized that while the module itself is the same, the connector is completely different!

The Problem:

• The original module uses a white connector.
• The new module has a significantly smaller reddish-brown connector.

What I’m looking for: My plan is to cut off the reddish-brown connector and replace it with the correct white counterpart. I’ve spent hours researching this, but the white connector seems to be a very specific “Mitsubishi exotic” part.

My questions for you:

  1. Does anyone recognize this specific white connector type or know its official designation?
  2. Does anyone have a tip on where to source these connectors (either standalone or as a pigtail/pre-crimped cable)?

I have attached photos of the socket on the PCB as well as detailed pictures of the white connector, including measurements for comparison.

I am grateful for any hint or lead you might have—maybe someone here has encountered this exact puzzle before!

Thanks in advance and best regards, Tobi

No need to cut anything, just disconnect the original module from cn110 and connect esp to the cn105 port

Your link to the photos doesn’t open.
Anyway, inspect your MSZ control board for red socket and if you find it, use that.
The “white socket” might use 12V instead of 5V.
