This was very stupid… fixed it thanks! searching every screen and even config files for hours…
Thanks for this integration. Works like a charm!
The only weird thing is the projected room temperature is higher than the actual room temperature.
That is because of the location of the temperature sensor inside the indoor unit.
You need an external sensor if you want to have the AC work up to the set temperature and display the right room temperature.
It worked for a while, but now this is the second time that the air conditioners are not available. Completely removing the integration and reinstalling it makes it work again for a week. Anyone?
If they are no longer available from HA, can you still ping them to check if the connection is still there?
It could be a Wi-Fi issue with the air conditioner itself, as it has a rather weak interface.
I looked into it further. The devices are just pingable and work normally in the MHI app. If I remove the devices and immediately add them back in HA, it sees them again.
I just had the same issue. All 4 aircons suddenly unavailable when they had been working just fine for a solid 6 weeks. Still accessible by the terrible app so the wifi module is definitely working. Reloading doesn’t do anything either and I’ve got a few automations so really don’t want to reinstall in HA. Don’t know what it implies if they all become unavailable within a few minutes of each other
UPDATE: It was the IP address changing when I was working on something else. I have remapped the IP addresses and set them as static to prevent it happening in the future.
Just wanted to share my recent experience in case it helps someone in my position in the future.
I have 2 aircons connected, and both were working perfectly. I have a UniFi router that I set the IP addresses of the aircons to fixed to ensure they don’t drop off HA due to the IP changing.
After a week or so both units showed as disconnected in HA and I wasn’t able to ping them. Deleting the devices from HA and trying to re-add them showed the following error: Could not connect with the Airco: Aircon returned error: Cannot connect to host 10.0.0.182:51443 ssl:default [Connect call failed (‘10.0.0.182’, 51443)]. The odd thing was that the units were showing as “Discovered” on the Devices and Services dashboard of HA.
The only thing I found that worked was unchecking the fixed IP address option in the UniFi settings.
At this stage I believe this to be an issue with the settings in my UniFi router and not the aircons, but I haven’t done a deep dive into it, and for now I’m happy just to have everything working again.
