Hi everyone,
As a baseball fan and Home Assistant user, I was already using the excellent ESPN Team Tracker integration to keep track of scores and game results.
However, I was missing one thing: the actual MLB standings.
I wanted to see:
- League standings
- Division standings
- Wild Card races
- Postseason picture
- Games behind
- Win/loss records
directly inside Home Assistant without having to open MLB.com every time.
So I decided to build my own solution.
What I created
MLB Standings Integration
A custom Home Assistant integration that retrieves and exposes MLB standings data from the MLB Stats API.

MLB Standings Lovelace Card
A companion Lovelace card that presents the data in a clean and baseball-friendly dashboard view.

Features
- American League standings
- National League standings
- Division standings
- Wild Card standings
- Games Behind (GB)
- Team records
- Postseason race tracking
- Fully integrated with Home Assistant dashboards
Why?
Because knowing that your dishwasher finished 17 minutes ago is nice.
Knowing your team just moved into a Wild Card spot is important.

Feedback Welcome
This started as a personal project, but if other MLB fans find it useful I’m happy to continue improving it.
