Today, as we in the middle (ok... end of ) the European heat wave, I was able to purchase a mobile airconditioning unit, the De'Longhi Pinguino PAC EM90 Silent. As a new owner, I would like to know its energy usage. I have an IKEA INSPELNING lying around. The specs that I can find for the aircon, maximum power 1kW (1000W) is well below the maximum power that the INSPELNING can handle (3680W).
Now, the thing that got me worried, is the 'max motor load' of 300W. I can not find if my aircon has a motorload (I'd say so, because it has a compressor), while also not being able to find what it is rated for.
I don't want to use the plug to switch on/off, just monitor power usage.
Can someone please guide me? AI wants to me believe that it's all good, as long as I don't do any switching with it.
It shows 2.5kw for the units energy usage that is under the what the plug can support, also that 3.6kw on the plug is spike usage limit in most cases but it should be fine since the unit is a good amount under that.
Just plug in the unit into the plug then add the power consumption aka Summation delivered of the plug to your HA power dashboard, live power is just the power sensor.
I have this done with my PC to have a plug act as a wattman for it and to let me use it for wake on lan actions.
My question is whether an airconditioning unit qualifies for 'max motor load' (i.e. does it have a motor as meant by this phrase?) and if yes, where to get the 'motor load' for my brand of airconditioning unit?
