I’m not sure if this is a hardware issue or a software one but hoping you can help.
I have a TS0012 paired with Zigbee2MQTT and its mostly working as expected. The only problem I have is that I cannot press both buttons on the physical switch at the same time. There must be a delay between pressing one and then the other. If you press one and then the second too quickly the second button press does not register.
I also have some moes 2gang wifi smart switches connected to HA via Tuya. These work perfectly from a physical perspective, eg can press both buttons at the same time but the connection drops regularly.
Any advice welcome! If this is a hardware limitation then these zigbee switches are not fit for purpose in our house. Can you recommend another zigbee 2 gang switch (not touch) that I could purchase? Happy to buy from Ali Express and all switches have a neutral wire.
Video: In this video I have the zigbee switch on he left and the wifi version on the right. Notice how only one light turns off/on with the zigbee version: https://photos.app.goo.gl/MwZoXTEytadYyyoH7
By way of a small update, I contacted MOES who said that there is a 0.5 second delay for zigbee events and therefore its not possible to press both buttons at the same time.
Cany anyone confirm if this means its no possible for any zigbee switches or is this a MOES thing?
Another small update - I came across a new MOES switch which sports zigbee3.0 however I saw on a review on amazon that it also needs the half second delay between pressing each of the buttons.
Can anyone recommend a zigbee switch without this limitation?
Wow! Great find! This should solve my problem. However I tried following the steps but the device does not appear in the OTA tab. I’ll reach out to the dev.
I have the same problem and nothing appears in the OTA tab for me either. Were you able to solve this problem? Or did you find another way to make both buttons work simultaneously?
I read through some more of the docs and eventually found the steps, after following them closely I was able to update the firmware and now both switches work simoultaneously. After flashing I was not able to add the device back into Z2M but this appears to only affect my setup. I added in back to HA via ZHA.
As i saw you have two switches controlling the same light. As I know one of them is wired as a master switch and another is slave. The right one is probably the master and the left one is slave.
The difference is that master switch is physically connected to the light and slave have just neutral and live for power.
The problem with this is probably in your automation that will turn off the main switch when you press both buttons on a slave switch.
