The monthly peak value sensor generated by the HomeWizard P1 meter does not reset at midnight when a new month starts. Instead, the reset to 0 only occurs approximately 14 minutes after midnight.
According to Fluvius in Belgium, their monthly peak value is reset exactly at midnight.
I use this peak value to scale and control my consumers. For example, if the peak value for a month is 6000 W, I allow my consumers to operate based on that limit. However, because the value is not reset exactly at midnight, my consumers continue to use the previous month’s peak value during the first quarter of an hour of the new month, instead of determining a new (lower) peak value for the new month.
This leads to incorrect behavior during the start of each new month.
