Hi all, I’m in the process of putting together a basic add-on to add some functionality to HA, but I’m running into some difficulty in that the docs for how HA’s addons only really cover very basic uses. I’ve tried referencing existing addons to get a sense of how things work but they’re structured very differently to what the guide suggests as a base and naturally aren’t really intended as a development guide. I’m specifically looking for info about networking and managing host tun devices, but some more detail about how the UI configuration works would also be welcome.

Wondering if you were able what you were looking for. I was running into the same issue. I can make a simple “hello world” but wasn’t able to get it to reach out to a remote rest server etc. I think it has something to do with the way it is set up with containers or something.
Nope, sorry, I even tried looking at a few addons that do similar things and they’re so different to the documentation that I’m at a loss as to how anyone outside of the HA team learns this stuff…
