I don’t think I was the only person to be thrown off when a bunch of my automations stopped working after the update to 2026.3
After reading the release notes and discovering that several action attributes had been removed, I was able to go into my automations and fix up any that used attributes such as kelvin and color_temp.
As a testament to how well the platform is managed, I’ve become accustomed to receiving repair notifications for upcoming breaking changes.
Therefore, I was surprised that I didn’t get a notification a few months ago about automations using soon-to-be removed action attributes.
If a breaking change to an action is coming up, HA should be able to scan relevant scripts, automations, etc. for any things that may break when the update ultimately arrives and notify the users a couple of months in advance.
