I have a couple motion sensing lights using the “Motion-activated Light” blueprint. They’ve been working fine up until the 2026.1.2 update.
Now I can see that the motion sensors and lights still work fine individually in the dashboard, but when motion is detected, the lights are not automatically commanded to on or off.
I tried restoring a backup to 2026.1.1 and that didn’t fix it, so I don’t understand what broke and what to try next.
Update: Never mind.
I tried editing one of the automations and when I saved it, both suddenly started working again. They stayed working after I upgraded back to 2026.1.2 again.
So I have no idea why it broke, but it definitely was not working for a while there. And I have no idea why editing one of the automations would fix both.
