I am looking for a motion sensor to place to integrate into my home assistant instance. I am also looking to to keep it local and eliminate as many hardware devices as possible. I am running MQTT and am ok with newer protocols such as matter/thread. My preference would be a wired vs battery powered device and could use POE.
Any suggestions?

Also I use, 3rd reality nightlghts, these are mains powered zigbee and plug into wall socket, but if your wall socket is not suitably located for motion then you would probably need an extension cord or something. Third Reality 3RSNL02043Z control via MQTT | Zigbee2MQTT
