Can anyone tell me if there is such a thing as a motion sensor that has the ability to restrict to certain zones? I know this feature is available on most video doorbells and on the new Aqara FP2 but are there any stand alone motion sensors that have it (ideally long range ones like the Yolink)?
Alternatively can it be achieved through software somehow using a regular sensor?
My son parks his car in a bay in front of our house. It’s just out of reach of our security cameras. I could use a long range Yolink motion sensor to trigger the camera to record, but I want to cut out the other non relevant activity like cars driving by etc.
Note: since writing this, I realized that at least from a hardware perspective this would be impossible without an additional camera for allowing you to set the zone but interested to hear people’s thoughts.
