Mount extra storage for media and other data and NFS export it

With increasingly more capable systems being great candidates for hosting Home Assistant instances, we can do more with the host.
A second disk that can be exported as an NFS/SMB share provides a way to fully make use of the hardware.
I would like to add a disk, USB or internal, mount that for use by Plex add-on, and export that via both NFS and SMB so that I can move media on and off it.
Mounting external disks seems to have work-arounds, but bringing this into the product makes it managable.
Since there is an Add-On that will SMB export storage, NFS should be parallel work.

Been suggested before. Please search before posting feature requests.

I searched and only found unrelated things. Some where talking about permamounting USB storage, but not for an export to make the device a NAS.

You have to vote for your own FR.

Hello Kevin Flanagan,
