With increasingly more capable systems being great candidates for hosting Home Assistant instances, we can do more with the host.
A second disk that can be exported as an NFS/SMB share provides a way to fully make use of the hardware.
I would like to add a disk, USB or internal, mount that for use by Plex add-on, and export that via both NFS and SMB so that I can move media on and off it.
Mounting external disks seems to have work-arounds, but bringing this into the product makes it managable.
Since there is an Add-On that will SMB export storage, NFS should be parallel work.
Been suggested before. Please search before posting feature requests.
I searched and only found unrelated things. Some where talking about permamounting USB storage, but not for an export to make the device a NAS.
