Move to matter over thread from matter over wifi

Hello,
Ive recently swapped out about 7 smart plugs and 4 bulbs from wifi tapo to ikea matter over thread.

Since doing so ive noticed that on some occasions they appear to be really slow to respond to automatons. For example. I have a lightswitch in the kitchen and when switched on it turns on 3 others plugs with led strips. These all worked fine on wifi with a 1 second delay on average. now there is a 2 second delay and sometimes it wont fire at all.

Ive looked at the thread map on home assistant and they all have good (green) connections to each other.

Any thoughts?

I suppose you changed Integration and Controller also ?
Edit: and that you disabled wifi, on those devices, so they won’t still communicate with your IP router also
PS: Please read this FAQ , as your questions ( as is ) More look like it belongs to a " Social" category

I removed the wifi devices from the network.

I changed the automatons to point to the new thread devices.

Should i have done something else?

I have only 3 of the Ikea Matter over Thread plugs - but they react instantly every time.
I am using them in conjunction with a HA ZBT-2 Thread stick.

When you say you have a light switch in the kitchen that if switched ON than “turns on” 3 plugs (the Ikea ones?) ------- does that mean, that the switch actually removes power to the plugs?

That would definitely explain the delay!

Hi, Sorry if im being unclear.

The kitchen switch is a wifi wall switch. Switching this on triggers an automation in home assistant.

That automation then switches on the other 3 lights in the kitchen. These are driven through ikea grillplats plugs.

The plugs are connected to come assistant via thread and a ZBT-2 plugged into home assistant.

Previously the ikea plugs were tapo wifi plugs. seemingly moving to the ikea plugs has caused the issue? but im not sure how to investigate?

I get this in the error logs

Logger: homeassistant.components.automation.cupboard_lights_on
Source: components/automation/init.py:805
Integration: Automation (documentation, issues)
First occurred: 15:11:14 (2 occurrences)
Last logged: 15:51:46

Error while executing automation automation.cupboard_lights_on: Channel is closed
Error while executing automation automation.cupboard_lights_on: Peer is no longer responding to active session (timed out after 1m 1s)

Ok further investigation

I’ve discovered that if I turn the nest hub off ( have hub max and zbt-2 as border routers ) then it all works fine. But I can’t disable it :sob:
