Moving from Raspberry Pi to Proxmox VM with clean install - need help with Zones, Z-wave and Zigbee please

I have been running my HA instance on a Raspberry Pi 4 for several years. The install is okay but has 1,000 unavailable entries and often needs a reboot to install an OS update.

I recently purchased a beelink mini-PC and have moved Plex, etc to it. I decided to move my HA instance as well and do it as a clean install. So far it has gone great. However I have one issue and a few questions on the Zwave/Zigbee transfer:

  1. I have a number of Zones. I found the file in config/.storage/zone but have not been able to figure out how to get into the Proxmox VM to upload and/or edit the zone file there.
  2. Is there a good way to move my Zwave and Zigbee devices over? There aren’t a ton of them (14 and 17 respectively) but it would be nice to make this as seamless as possible.
  3. Also is there any point in spinning up a Zwave JS UI as an LXC and separate it from the HA VM?

Thanks!

Just use backup and restore its what it’s for.

Wot he said ^^

Thanks but my installation is 5 years old and a mess so was looking forward to a clean install running the old instance in one browser window and new in another. I’m nearly there except for the Zones (found more info on migrating Zwave and Zigbee)

If you use the backup you can choose just the zigbee and zwave addons to restore. Not tried it myself but can’t see why it wont work, I have restore single addons before.
