In our previous house, we had an exercise room with a TV attached to a computer (in a closet) from which we played our playlists of line dance MP4s using VLC. Now the wall between the TV and computer is a masonry brick/plaster wall so I highly doubt that my computer mouse will be able to control VLC on the computer as I did previously. The TV plug, internet connection and HDMI wire all go through the wall from the exercise room into the closet on the other side of the masonry wall. I was hoping to set something up with HA that I would be able to control the playlist of the day. If I needed to stop play I could or if I wanted to replay part of a video I was hoping to use verbal commands. We are connected to the Nabu Casa cloud. Originally I thought I might be able to use music assistant but after some searching I don’t see much for MP4/video play. I do have the option of configuring/re-configuring my exercise PC however need be. Right now it is on Windows 10.
Any ideas or suggestions on what might work?
