MQTT Sonoff Smart Switch

I believe I found one of the problems: it is a WIFI problem. Watching the MQTT log; I can see when the devices are connected to the WIFI and I can turn them ON or OFF one time in HA.

Read about these unit dropping the WIF but have not found an answer how to fix it. The only I think maybe it is to go back to an old flashing software 5+. The latest version 6+ has this issues.

Any thoughts?

v6.2.1 has proven the most reliable firmware for me as I am unwilling to uninstall my devices to clear the flash memory via serial connection before updating to 6.4.1.

6.4.1 can be installed over the air.

Make sure you get these settings right too:

And you donā€™t have to either.
You can do a reset from the consoleā€¦ just canā€™t remember if I user 1 or 2 or even if it matters.
FWIW, the new sonoff SV I flashed on the weekendā€¦ (With 6.4.1.9 I compiled myself with core 2.5.0) - well it has the same dropouts as my other switches.

Iā€™m just passing on the advice I got when I opened an issue on the Tasmota github.

If you can be a little more specific about the reset procedure Iā€™ll give it a go and see how it compares, I currently get no drop outs at all from any of my ten sonoffs on 6.2.1.

I had the same with 6.3.0. Itā€™s only 6.4.1 that has caused any issues. Reset is a command you issue from the console. Thereā€™s various reset options. Youā€™d need to check the Tasmota Wiki to see what they are. I just donā€™t remember right now if I used reset 0 or reset 1ā€¦ I did the most destructive reset - it goes back to the defaults you used when you used the wire to flash initially.

So I would then have to connect to the sonoff in AP mode to flash OTA?

I did a reset from the Sonoff GUI on all three units about 6 hours ago and in the log it has not dropped out, before that it was dropping out evert 6 minutes. Keeping the fingers crossed.

In the MQTT log it shows them connected and not dropped out.
