MQTT, vacuum newbie question

Hi, this is my first try to work with MQTT and HA, so probably i am doing something the wrong way. Just tell me what would be the correct way to configure stuff the correct way.
At the moment it looks somehow wrong and I am asking for help

Actual state:

  • Autodiscovery was showing errors. One of the commands needed a remap, so I decided for manual configuration.
  • Vacuum is configured via configuration.yaml. The basic setup looks ok and I have an entity.
  • The battery was missing, so I created a device via the MQTT add device dialog. So I have a device with the battery as entry.

Questions:

  1. How to get a vacuum device withe vacuum features + battery?
  2. Is it possible to add the battery directly via configuration.yaml?
  3. How to add zone/section cleaning. The robot dose not publish the zones, so how to add it manually?
  4. How to add error states?

The concept of devices and entries in MQTT and HA context is not really clear to me, so probably I need to reconfigure something. Thanks for your help

Remember that the battery is now a separate entity.
Also, room cleaning could be really hard if the vacuum does not expose it; you should try to find a command if you can request it(rooms)…

Do I have any option to map the different entities to one device. A battery separate from the vacuum dose not make much sense to me. To have an automation to trigger zoned cleaning via custom command is not really nice.
I am asking because other home automation solutions allow to map all stuff together, so you have one device to represent one thing. 3 devices, a hand full of helper, and some automations to handle one vacuum cleaner looks very confusing to me. So, is it really the way ha should be set up?
