I came across this video from defcon, about a multi-sensor being used in many different school/health/commercial settings, that has many features that I suspect a lot of us HA users may desire, but not want any cloud communications allowed to it.
I post this here to spread the word about this device, both for privacy awareness and functionality awareness.

very much not a cheap device, and probably much more than some want.
but it may be worth looking in to it for the folks with the knowledge and means to do so.
it would be amazing if there could be some kind of open source project to hack this device and integrate it into HA.
