Multiple Hassio's

Hey everyone

Would it be possible to gather information from one hassio in the interface of another ? Im looking at using one RPI3 as a extended unit with BT and Z-Wave stick and a VM as the main interface. I see that I can use the RPI for everything, but Im starting to find the RPI3 slow to work with.

Thanx

You can setup ‘switches’ in HA which are simply rest calls to the other HA server. You can also grab the state of objects using API calls.

I use state stream to link 3 HAs, not sure about hass.io

Out of curiosity, what does your set up look like that requires 3 HA?

^ this!

Would love to hear a bit more about your setup :sunglasses:

Maybe API could be the way to go ?

Checking it out.

I use 3 HAs really because I had the equipment to do it. I also use HA for important house functions like opening gates and garage doors so I like to have a very stable setup.

RPi 1
- use 10 gpio mostly for relays buts IR sensor also
- connect to DSC alarm with 30 sensors through envisalink
- has few automation that need to run 24/7 like doorbells / gates
- this pi is never really altered or restarted, just kept up to date

RPi 3
- use for TTS to house speakers

  • use for all internet sensors like dark sky, google mail / calendar, imap reader . etc

MAC

  • I play with this one with new components and has no affect on house functions when down.
  • run all servers like mosquitto / sql server that all HA’s send into one database located here
  • all automations and front end for viewing / history / logging / maps
