I have a bluetooth adapter hooked into my HA installation and wifi tracking. So, the known devices file has a lot of duplication. I know I can create custom groups to merge devices, however it seems like it might be better to allow for more than one MAC address to constitute the same device, as in the modern world this is a reality.

Same here: Mobile phone has bluetooth and wifi adapter recognized in Home Assistant, both MAC addresses belong to same device, not to a group…
