Multiple SMA Inverters

Hello everyone! I’ve set up one of my SMA inverters using the sma integration successfully, but cannot figure out how to set up a second simultaneously. I couldn’t find anything in the documentation about this. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This integration?

Looks like you just add a list of sensors.

sensor:
  - platform: sma
    host: IP_ADDRESS_OF_DEVICE_1
    password: YOUR_SMA_PASSWORD
    sensors:
      - current_consumption
      - total_consumption
      - pv_power
      - total_yield
  - platform: sma
    host: IP_ADDRESS_OF_DEVICE_2
    password: YOUR_SMA_PASSWORD
    sensors:
      - current_consumption
      - total_consumption
      - pv_power
      - total_yield

That’s the right integration. Maybe I’m just dense, but won’t one of those sensors overwrite the other, since they’ll have the same entity name? I couldn’t find the ability to name the sensors in the SMA integration.

If the entity_ids end up being the same it should just append _2 on the end.

Here’s my config, as of now it is not generating _2 as you suggested it should

sensor:
    - platform: sma
      host: 192.168.1.201
      ssl: true
      verify_ssl: false
      group: user
      password: !secret SMA_password
      sensors:
        - pv_power
        - total_yield
        - status
    - platform: sma
      host: 192.168.1.200
      ssl: true
      verify_ssl: false
      group: user
      password: !secret SMA_password
      sensors:
        - pv_power
        - total_yield
        - status

I said it should, if it was written correctly. I didn’t say it would.

There’s a workaround here:
