Mushroom Cards never take locale into account?

I love the Mushroom Cards and can’t build any dashboard without them. I do have a gripe I’m afraid: Mushroom Cards always appear in English and English locale, even when there are localized entities available. (I’m using Home Assistant in Dutch.)

As an example, see the original entity badge/chip on the left and the mushroom template card on the right. Both are showing the entity of my robot vacuum cleaner:

As you can see, the Home Assistant badge/chip on the left shows the word “Fout”, which is the Dutch translation for “error”, which you see on the right, as displayed by the Mushroom template.

Same goes for the weather:

The built-in chip/badge shows the Dutch word “Zonnig”, where Mushroom shows “sunny”.

The locale issues expand beyond translations: Mushroom Cards also use a period as a decimal separator, even though a comma is the proper separator where I live:

Again, Home Assistant badge/chip on the left with the expected result, and the non-localized version of Mushroom on the right.

To be sure, in Home Assistant settings, I did set the locale correctly, and the Home Assistant chip/badge conforms to it:

I’m wondering how others deal with this who use Home Assistant in something else than English?

A long time ago, when I only noticed the issue with the decimal separator, I filed a bug, but the Mushroom Cards author politely explained that this is out of his hands:

Perhaps something to fix in HA Core then?
