apparently not many people are running into this as my searches have been so far fruitless but for us using music assistant about every 5-10min it stops on the player we are using (an old fire 7 with fully kiosk ) and particularly on a radio stream.

in trouble shooting if the device supports “flow mode” which i have not found more info on then maybe it would work and some reference to a player compatibility list which I think is this: Player Support - Music Assistant (?)
seems the player does not apparently support enqueueing … so what is one to do?
well I just found a dirty band aid - the following automation at least keeps us from having to press play every 5min or so

it takes a few seconds when it replays but certainly there is a better solution?
hopefully there is before I start building out the automation (if possible ?) to check if it was on radio then to play the same thing or a playlist to play the next song. . seems like I am building an assistant to the music assistant

what i think is strange is that it works fine with playlists (eg from spotify) which i guess is a type of enqueueing but radio streaming seems to be a bit odd and that does not seem to work.
The devs are having trouble reproducing this. Can you try 2.5.0b12 and see if this is still a problem. After updating then do the minimum necessary to get the problem to occur then go to MA SETTINGS>>CORE and download the log from there and drag and drop it here

i did like this as I have not run a beta before:
2.5.0b12 > downloaded / installed - set for start on boot and started - opened added fire and radio browser
released version > turned off released version and turned off start on boot
restarted HA
turned on error logs and restarted … ooops
opened, played stream … waited for failure and got the log thisis the second one… i tried another stream as well same thing.

So it does look like a device problem or insufficent bandwidth
Check the device settings and make sure MP3 is selected. Also if the sample rates look like the image then try removing the 44.1 option. Make sure you save then try again.
those were the settings I had default in the above log as I changed nothing else
it seems to be on radio streams. eg, Spotify playlists seem to work fine.
my guess (I am no expert) is that streams maybe only send buckets of data (?)… and when the buckets are empty the music assistant or whatever needs to say, here I am send a new bucket, it gets one, etc… it seems it may be this handshaking that fails somewhere whereas maybe the playlists are already loaded so no handshaking needed? (or?) with that said I have tried queuing up the same radio a few times but that did not work. The work around automation works simply by getting triggered when the player has stopped and just restarts it - what is strange and I guess there is some handling for this already but it seems music assistant should do that if no one has hit stop.
