Music Assistant Media / Media player playing on repeat non-stop

I’m trying to play one sound effect, a short 3 sec mp3. This is playing via the raspiaudio ESP home speaker. I’m using music assistant, and it plays the audio fine. HOWEVER, it keeps repeating forever. It repeats every like 60 secs. The player (in music assistant) shows the play/pause button on play. If I hit pause, it stops.

I also get the same thing when calling media player and playing a sound via an automation. Keeps doing it every 60 secs forever.So it’s not just music assistant’s fault that I can tell because it also does it in media player.

The only way to shut this up is to add an unmute command before the automation, play it, add a wait time of 5 secs, and then mute it again. however, sometimes off if I have to do all that.

Thank you. I just tested a similar workaround and there’s an actual stop command, so I’m adding a delay to let the mp3 play, then doing another action for the stop. I’d love a more real fix but this works for now.
