Music Assistant Media/My Media as a music source

HNY my HA friends.
Can anyone help share where I might have gone awry here.

I have installed the latest version of Music Assistant, 2.7.2
In Settings/Providers, I have added a number of sources including Spotify, BBC Sounds and Tune-In Radio.
I have also added both Home Assistant and Home Assistant MediaPlayers as I have ripped a number of old CDs which I added to HA and which show up and play in the HA Media side bar, Media Sources/My Media.

However, when I perform a search in Music Assistant, i get results from BBC Sounds, Spotify and TuneIn, but dont get anything from My Media.

Have I missed a configuration setting or does MA only pull media if it is attached to HA in a additional network storage?

Many thanks for any insight you could offer.
Carlos

Hello Carlos,

You might want to ask here…

The people that are watching that thread are all either interested. users of, or authors of Music Assistant.
They are likely your best resource.
Also there is a Discord: Music Assistant

Many thanks. I will try posting my question there.

You have to add the media folder as a provider using the Filesystem (local disk) type. The file path should be just /media.

Thank you. I added the provider Filesystem (local disk) and restarted HA. It seems like it takes a little time to refresh the content and I can now see that the Albums have been added to the system.

Your help has been much appreciated.

Same goes for custom audio files for automations, I just now sorted this out for myself. I used Samba to get into the media folder.
