I’ve finally updated to MA 2.5.4 - as some updates were breaking AirPlay.
It’s still not perfect, have to say, often lose sound or make issue with volume. As it doesn’t recognize Stereo pairs of HomePods, we have to stream two channels, one left one right, which make the volume set a bit difficult.
But one thing that is since I’m using it, is that it have pain to update the metadata for my personal radio station.
Based on Icecast 2.4.4 powered by LadioCast/0.13.0 libshout/2.4.1, I see on other players that the current song is updated properly, song and artist.
But it seems that Music Assistant do it only one time on two, or sometimes even only in the 3rd change.
Is it a limitation on the updates? For example, if the name is shortly changed to the radio name and then a few seconds later again to an artist, is MA ignoring the update because it’s too close for the previous one?
This would anyway not explain it all, because I’ve checked that even when the data changed after 3 minutes and only once, it’s not reflected in HA, when it is both on the webpage of IceCast.
I really need this data to be updated.
