MVHR - Hardwired Boost Trigger via Lighting. Help a newbie

Hi all, I’m trying to update my home to have some useful automations. I can’t quite get my head round how I will create ones for my bathroom. My home has an MVHR unit that provides a boost once the light is turned on.

Questions: what can I do that I don’t loose the function but don’t have the boost always on? I mainly want motion or door sensor triggered lights. But I am open to something like the Aqara z1 however It’s a home for adhders so leaving on lights happens a lot so I want to turn lights off if movement isn’t sensed.

Welcome to the Home Assistant Forum.

I’m sure that can be done. Also having someone or something writing it for you means the second it misbehaves, you will be struggling back to find someone to fix it for you.
The best way to learn is to just try. Run thru the docs on getting started with the automation editor. If you get stuck, come back with what you have done.
