My Iphone can not connect through the app, but can through the browser

I cant connect my home assistant on wifi through the app, but if I take the exact same URL and paste it to the browser it works fine :persevere:

Did you try using ip_adress:8123 ?

I don’t know…
Some guy just had the same problem with an iphone. Can’t connect to local ha instance and claiming that he connect with different device.
Maybe some iphone setting or companion app doesn’t work the same on iphone and android…although I don’t think so.

That was me. Tried to connect via browser using http://homeassistant:8123 and get direct to the Home assistant page with the message Unable to connect to Home Assistant Retrying in xx seconds. Then tried to connect to the ip address:8123 and get the Home Assistant login prompt followed by the same message.so I appear to be reaching the Home Assistant gateway!!

Reinstalled the app and rebooted the phone, now it works!
