myVAILLANT integration

ohh thanks… what would the poll interval increase achieve? (requesting more data more often?)… how can I increase the poll interval?

You can set the interval in the integration settings.

Hi guys,

First of all, congrats for this AMAZING integration.

I have some questions:

2.- Which are the limits we have to set in the integration options to avoid bans? By default appears 1800 and blank in the power box. I am not interested in the power consumption so maybe I can deactivate it?
3.- I can not see the Setback temperature configuration in the integration, is it available somehow?
4.- The connection status appears always as DISCONNECTED. is it normal?

Thanks in advance!

  1. I have live updates at 600 and energy updates at 10800 seconds. With that, I don’t get quota issues.

  2. No idea, since I setup my ebus to my satisfaction, this integration is just a fallback for me.

  3. You need to check “Fetch system connection status” to get the online state. It’s deactivated by default since recently to reduce quota pressure.

It’s a pity that the lowest available limit doesn’t allow retrieving hourly energy data for an entire week.

The Vaillant app can display both daily and hourly energy data without such limitations, but it fetches all the data on demand when needed.

Do you know if it’s possible to store or update historical data in Home Assistant? That would make it possible to download a full day (or several hours) of data at once and then update the history locally. Such an approach could reduce the number of API calls while still providing a complete energy history.

Hi Guys,
I installed MyVaillant integration. It looks amazing.
I have issues with Energy page. All elements of the Device page look OK, incl. Consumed Electrical Energy …:

I added these elements in the configuration of the Energy page:

But it does not show diagrams on the Energy page.

Maybe something is missing in the Energy configuration:

The help page (Expected data source not listed - Home Assistant) suggests to add respective devices manually to the Recorder configuration.
How can I do it? I’m quite new to HA.

Hi, this is probably a long shot but I have the VR940f and connected it through homekit device integration; however, it only seems to expose the identify entity (which makes the led on the device blink purple, yay :D):

Not sure if this can be improved. According to actual Apple Home users it should be able to allow temperature and heating mode control but… I don’t know.

Maybe someone else can chime in?

I haven’t received any data for approximately 8 hours. The logs indicate a 503 Temporarily Unavailable error from the API. Additionally, the official app displays an error message in the status section.

It appears that some APIs are experiencing downtime once again.

I hope we haven’t been permanently banned. Can anyone confirm if they are experiencing the same issue?

Yeah consumption api it seems:

Last night, I had queried and modified too much myVaillant data. I thought only I had been banned . And today, they fixed it an hour ago.

After recent outages and increased quota errors, I also got myself an eBUS adapter (the C6 stick) and created this integration to be able to connect locally and still have fully functional climate / water heater entities. Testing is limited to my system (VRC720), but there's some diagnostic tools to make extending it pretty easy.

Compared to the raw ebus HA entities, I'm trying to create something more along the lines of the mypyllant-component, with working climate entities & features like quick veto and away mode out of the box.

There's a long way to go, but I'd appreciate some testing & test data for additional systems, if anyone here also has the ebus adapter.

Installed your integration in parallel to my existing ebusd setup, running on an Atotherm Split plus 75/8.2

I do see the hot water, heating, water pressure, and quick veto end entries. Especially the hot water and heating entries are nicer than the one I got from building the climate controls via YAML hackery.

I do have a larger number of entities via ebusd, but these cover basic control.

I run the MyVaillant integration version 0.9.13 and I use the VR940f wifi unit as an interface to the heat pump and gas heater. During winter time there is no problem but now it is summer the integration switches off the cooling.
I have 3 devices in the integration:

  • Circuit 0
  • Zone ZONE 1 (circuit 0)
  • VF940

each with their own devices. the Circuit 0 device has an entity "cooling allowed" and this switch switches all the time back to off about 30 seconds after I swithced it on.

what am I doing wrong here?

Hello,

Few days ago, Energy Manager State worked displaying if we were in heating, cooling, hot water mode. It stopped working.
Any idea why ?

Works for me. Check the logs to se whether you hit the API quota

There's a new stable release with improvements to VRC700 cooling mode and some other controls from several new contributors:

Additionally, there's a beta release with a new statistics import, that saves hourly energy data updates coming from the myVAILLANT API at the correct times in the past with async_add_external_statistics - it's vibecoded in Per hour statistics import by jpm16930 · Pull Request #445 · signalkraft/mypyllant-component · GitHub with a quick code review, so I'd love to hear some feedback:

Heyho!

Since the last update, I got a problem with the Login:

I tried to reinstall the component. The normal Login at myVaillaint is working without any problems.

In my installation, the integration didn't even started
