I just got a home assistant green and the voice preview device. While setting it up, I got a warning that it was muted. I went into the app and tried to unmute it, but a second or two later, it mutes itself again. I finished setting it up (telling it to use local processing etc), and tried to unmute it again, but it does the same thing, with no explanation why…
is the physical mute switch ON (red shows).
I dont believe software mute is possilble if hardware mute is not ON.
you can look at activity log to see if it is being enabled and by what.
Go to “device info” for the HAVPE device.

I thought that was the power switch; I forget when it popped up the warning.
turn it off (red not showing) and you should be OK
