I have a couple of Nanoleaf homekit only bulbs which are working perfectly when added to Apple Home, but with this automations through Homeassistant is limited and not very stable, so I decided to give a try and add these to Homeassistant thorugh
HomeKit Device - Home Assistant (home-assistant.io)
I followed the documentation of the integration (added to Apple Home, removed but kept powered on) but HA does not discover this device, neither the suggesten python module does

I wonder if there is something wrong in my environment, so it cannot be seen. In the past I had my own Linux server with unbound DNS, some bonjour implementation and so on, so I wonder it can be some DNS / mDNS magic?
