Napco Gemini Alarm Panel - Wired Motion Sensors

Hi All,

I have an existing Napco Gemini control panel with a number of hardwired door and motion sensors around the house. Any suggestions for:

  1. Integrating with the Gemini Panel - I do have an RS232 interface that I’ve never installed.
  2. Directly attaching motion and reed sensors to an I/O bus/hub and feeding Home Assistant. I’m looking for something already developed and working, not to start soldering chips.

Thanks in advance!

Where you able to integrate your house alarm Napco Gemini control panel into HA?

Hi Jeff - no. haven’t found any info. thinking I may have to gut it and go with that Konnect.io product if I want to pursue…

Steve,

Thanks for letting me know.

I was hoping to use the existing keypads if the Napco control panel could be integrated into HA. Unless Napco puts out an HA add-on, I don’t’ think the integration will happen. One of the IC’s on the Napco board says “This Program Is Copyrighted - Reproduction Is Unlawful”

From what I understand, the hard wire sensors are reed switches. I’m thinking of using the RPI GPIO’s and set up HA with Keypad, Zones, etc.
