Navigation issues with Home Assistant Web UI

Hi! I’ve been using Home Assistant for over 5 years now, and have been based off Home Assistant Yellow for a while. Recently, in the last couple of weeks, I’ve noticed an issue with navigation in the Web UI, particularly when modifying settings - adding ZHA devices, modifying blueprints, etc.

This behaviour manifests whenever I close a dialog. The browser navigates me up the backstack (as if I’d pressed Back on the browser) two or three steps. Sometimes this takes me back up to the settings menu, sometime to a blank tab, depending upon how I’d navigated to the UI.

Needless to say, this can be very frustrating when trying to make multiple changes.

I’ve done some searching but can’t find anyone else with this problem. I’ve also done some experimentation as follows:

  • Chrome on MacOS exhibits this issue on two different Macbooks, although logged in to the same Google account.
  • Chrome on Windows does NOT exhibit this issue.
  • The HA Android App does NOT exhibit this issue.

I’ve tried a full browser cache clear to no avail, and I’ve updated to the latest HA releases.

Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

Are you using nordpass?

Ah, yes I am. I’ve tried disabling it and that seemed to help.
