Anyone have this? Any plan on integration
bumping. Any news?
I just ordered one. If I am feeling adventurous I may attempt to take it apart to see what drives it.
I have one. When connected over Wi-Fi, my router displays the M1 as “espressif”, which happens to manufacture the ESP32. So, there’s a good chance the M1 is controlled by an ESP32 or ESP8266.
Any progress with this?
I just got one and I’m interested to help test an integration prototype
Maybe they will listen if more people contact the support https://support.neakasa.com/hc/en-001/requests/new
Dear Neakasa Support,
I am writing to inquire about the possibility of integrating the Neakasa M1 with Home Assistant. While I understand there is currently no official integration, there’s a growing interest among Home Assistant users, including myself, to control and monitor the M1 through this platform.
The Home Assistant community is known for its collaborative spirit and technical expertise. There are already discussions on the Home Assistant forums [link to relevant forum threads if available] exploring potential workarounds and user-driven integration solutions.
I would be interested to know if Neakasa would be open to engaging with the Home Assistant community. This could involve:
-
Providing any relevant documentation or APIs that could assist developers in creating an integration.
-
Offering support or guidance to the community as they develop a user-driven solution.
This collaboration could be a valuable way to:
-
Meet the needs of your customers who use Home Assistant.
-
Gather valuable feedback on your product from a technically savvy user base.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
I just submitted this, hopefully they are open to opening an API.
I have sent an email to Neakasa support too but got a bad news🥲

I have it too. Piece of crap from China. After few months of using started to show full bin if it is empty etc. You can do just nothing because you will ask their support for sensor location and the will answer “send us a photo of sensor location”. Really - no joke.
We have also few Litter Robots III. All those automatic toilets has its bugs. Seems like they are made by idiots who don´t know that feline urin is acidic etc.
BUT if you will buy expensive piece of crap named Litter Robot you can buy spare parts or find solution to replace board with esp32 and create your own stable platform using idiotic sensors the right way.
But neakasa is band of kids from China and they will never help you with anything. There is also no community around and they are not interested in any support.
It´s a sad story with all those automatic toilets… just a money trap
