Need help adding new device to zigbee2mqtt hassio addon

I have the Zigbee2Mqtt addon working, but I have some zigbee based light bulbs that I would like to add, but it throws the following message, when pairing:

zigbee2mqtt:warn 8/3/2019, 7:45:52 PM Device with modelID 'Connected A-19 60W Equivalent   ' is not supported.

I have looked at the “how to support new devices” link but it is talking about modifiying a file… how do I edit a file inside the addon? Can anyone walk me through adding these bulbs?
