I have been using the Energy dashboard for a few years now, successfully monitoring my 3-phase grid connection.
I didn’t set up utility meter helpers since my energy provider only has one tariff.
I recently added an Ecoflow Delta 3 Plus power station which acts as a UPS for my home-office. The power station is charged via its two DC inputs, which have solar panels connected, or from the grid, when there is no sun.
I am using the unofficial Ecoflow BT integration to monitor the power station, and integral helpers to create the appropriate kW/h counters for the Energy dashboard.
But I can’t figure out how to configure the dashboard to correctly track the power going into and out of the power station.
I have added the battery and Solar panels, but no matter how I try to track the in- and output power, there always seems to be something wrong.
One symptom being that the 3 grid phases are sometimes displayed separately, and sometimes only as “Combined from grid”.
The power station has multiple sensors to measure in- and out going power (plus the integral helpers for energy): All possible in/outputs (DC-in1, DC-in2, AC-in, AC-out…) can be measured separately, and there are also a combined sensors for all in/outputs added together.
How do I configure the battery and solar devices in the Energy dashboard, so they correctly represent this setup:
- grid -->3 phases 230V AC
- phase 1: upstairs
- phase2: downstairs
- phase3: basement
- Ecoflow AC input
- home office devices
- Ecoflow AC input
The important point here is that the solar panels are connected directly to the power station and never feed anything back into the grid. All solar energy is always completely consumed by the power station and its downstream devices.
I haven’t gone into the individual devices config, which is another can of worms:
The way I understand this, the power station would have three upstream devices, DC-inputs 1 and 2, plus AC input. (technically there is also another one, but that is not being used), but there is only one upstream device allowed per individual device.
I have set up a few individual devices, including the three grid phases, and a few wifi-controllable sockets with measurement capabilities, but at this point I’m not sure if that might not be hurting more than it’s helping.
Eventually, I’d like to see the whole setup correctly represented in the energy and power flow graphs, but to get there I’ll first need to fix the basics.
Anyone here able to put me on the right track?
