Need help integrating schlage lock - tutorials all out of date

I’m trying to add a schlage connect deadbolt to my Home Assistant.

Running HA CORE 0.116.4 on OS 4.14.

Raspberry pi 3B

Aeon labs z stick gen 5

I had a schlage sense, and find that it wasn’t possible to integrate, so I went and purchased the connect instead to add to my z wave network.

Now it looks like that’s a huge pain in the rear, as well. Super frustrating. I cannot get this to work, and all the tutorials are for very old versions of HA.

Is there any guide that’s made within the last year? Can anyone point me in the right direction?
