OPEN AI CONVERSATION CANNOT ACCESS WEB
For example when ask simple question like “when is the next public holiday”, ai reply it doesn’t has the tool to access information. It basically has no web access. Tried to go setting, device and services, Open Ai conversation’s configuration. no option to grant access to internet.

yeah the stock OpenAI Conversation integration doesnt get web browse by itself in my experience. it can call HA tools / exposed entities, but not just go fetch the internet like chatgpt.com does.

for stuff like “next public holiday” people usually either:

  • add a search/browse tool somehow (there are custom agents / tool integrations floating around)
  • or just give it a calendar / rest sensor and expose that

probably not missing a hidden toggle in the openai config. shrug

The stock OAI does indeed support it..

In the OAI conversation integration, the web search options only show up on screen 3 of the config, IF you choose a model that supports it.

In my case 5.6 luna. Gets..
