I’ve had an IKEA TRADFRI Driver 30W (with some kitchen cabinet spots and strips attached) and an IKEA RODRET remote for some time with the RODRET paired to the TRADFRI and working as expected.
I now have a Nabu Casa ZBT-1 connected to my Home Assistant server. I have been able to, easily, pair the RODRET and the TRADFRI to Home Assistant with ZHA and I have created simple automations to control lights with the remote.
I would also like the remote and lights to work together as they did before I connected them to Home Assistant. I, think I, understand that I can do this by using ZHA to configure binding of the devices at the Zigee level. I have tried this (binding from the configuration of the RODRET to the TRADFRI device) and it says it works, but the remote does not control the lights. (I have deleted my related automations for testing) Also, when I look at the visualisation of my network I have 3 distinct devices with no connections between them - is this normal?
