I just installed the Nest 4th generation thermostat to replace the EOL 2nd generation. It was easy to install through the Matter Integration, however I am unable to set the ECO mode through Home Assistant. It does not list ECO as an option in HVA Mode. Anyone knows how to do this ?
I don’t think it is available in the matter integration. All ECO really does is bump up the thermostat temp so I decided to just do it via automation.
I now have the possibility to set on ECO mode.
How did you accomplish this?
I don't remember but I believe that I changed the settings of the dashboard card.
If you remember please post. Mine is paired with Matter and it doesn't appear to expose any entities or sensors for ECO mode.
I have 3 Nest thermostats at home. The one that was added through Matter is on a different wifi network in the garage.
I suggest that you check the thermostat's entities both in HA and in the Google Home App. If I remember something else then I will post it here but it has been about a year.
