Nest Protect Integration issue

Hi,
First time here so not sure quite how this site works.
I am currently setting up home assistant on my network to make things work together.
I have got my Unifi doorbell to unlock my yale smart lock when I use the finger print reader, when the doorbell is pressed, additional sounds go to my alexas etc.
I have Nest Protect smoke alarms and am struggling to get the integration setup.
I am using the Nest Protect from HACS, but when setting up the issue token and cookie, I get unexpected error appear.
I am 99.9% sure I am doing the right thing, but probably not.
Is there a guide that actually uses screenshots of the steps, especially about where to get the token and cookie from as its probably that is the problem.
Thanks.

thank you for the response, but I am not sure if you put a link in to the guide or not?

You can’t do it with a incognito window anymore. I used my non-default browser and just closed it after. Try that and just follow the steps.

Hi,
i’m trying to add my 4 Nest Protect smoke detectors to HA.
I followed the instruction steps from the HACS integration. But if i filter issueToken or oauth2/iframe, i can’t find anythink in the developer tools network log.

Does somebody know the solution?

Thank you!

Connect Your Nest Account

Follow these steps to get your credentials:

  1. Open an Incognito/Private browser window
  2. Enable third-party cookies in browser settings
  3. Go to home.nest.com and sign in with Google
Open Developer Tools (F12) → Network tab → Check **Preserve Log
In the filter box, type issueToken and copy the full **Request URL
  4. In the filter box, type oauth2/iframe, click the last request, and copy the entire Cookie header value

:warning: Do not log out of home.nest.com after copying credentials

Nevermind. I tried again today, and now it worked.
