I currently have a reasonably successful smart heating system using smart TRVs on the radiators with an automation that turns the wall thermostat up if any radiator needs heat, and down if none do. But, and it’s a big but, the wall thermostat is a Nest, as that is what was there when we bought the house last year. I’d much prefer something that is controllable locally, and isn’t brickable.
I’ve been looking around and the new(ish) Habi thermostat from Screwfix looks possible, except it states firmly that it doesn’t work with Home Assistant. Does anyone know if this is true, or whether it does actually work, maybe through the HomeKit integration?
Alternatively, does anyone have any other suggestions? - my plumber is suggesting Ember or Tado, but as far as I can tell they don’t meet the requirement to be controllable locally.
