I have quite a specific problem that I am hoping someone with networking skills can help me with.
I am using a StreamLocator hub to enable me to view geo-blocked TV content. This works by creating its own WiFi network called Streamlocator. When you connect to this network and run a streaming app it changes your DNS requests to use the streaming service in the country selected.
So far it works really well but the problem that I have is that the Streamlocator network is in the 192.168.177.* address range so that when you connect to it your device, for example an Amazon Fire Stick gets, a 192.168.177.n address. However, my main network, including my HA server uses the 192.168.1.* address range which means I would not be able to control the Fire Stick from Home Assistant.
Now I think one solution would be to move all my other devices to the 192.168.177.* subgroup (I think that’s what you call it) but that would obviously mean a lot of work.
Is there some other method that could be used so that the streaming device in the 192.168.177.* subgroup could be controlled from my 192.168.1 network?
I hope I have explained things correctly and someone might be able to help.
