Getting this error on initial setup, any help appreciated:

Home Assistant OS detected a networking issue in your setup. As part of the initial setup, Home Assistant OS downloads the latest version of Home Assistant Core. This networking issue prevents this download. The network issue might be DNS related. The currently used DNS service is: ?.

To resolve this, you can try a different DNS server. Select one of the options below. Alternatively, change your router configuration to use your own custom DNS server.

Home Assistant OS wasn’t able to detect a primary network interface, so you cannot define a DNS server!

Getting this error on initial setup, any help appreciated:

Did you do what it told you?
HAOS install on bare metal? A VM?
Do you have an internet connection?

I followed every step the site said, its on virtualbox-windows, yes I do have one

Doesn’t sound like you set the bridge up properly in the VM.

Home Assistant OS wasn’t able to detect a primary network interface, so you cannot define a DNS server!

I’m not a VM expert, but HA can’t find the bridge, so look there.

Networking in a VM environment adds a large degree of difficulty, and up to date instructions must be followed precisely.
